Our Programmes
A Commitment to Internationally Minded Learning

At LGS JTI Junior Girls, we believe that education should inspire curiosity, develop character and prepare students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. Our decision to pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme reflects our commitment to providing a future-focused education that nurtures the whole child.
The IB Primary Years Programme complements our established strengths as a Cambridge International School by placing inquiry, conceptual understanding, student agency and international-mindedness at the heart of learning.
In April 2025
Our application for candidacy for the IB Primary Years Programme was approved and we are currently progressing through the final stages of the authorization process.
Why the PYP?
The Primary Years Programme provides a framework for learning that encourages students to become active participants in their education.
Through inquiry, reflection and meaningful action, students learn to:
01
Ask thoughtful questions
02
Explore real-world issues
03
Think critically and creatively
04
Collaborate with others
05
Develop independence and responsibility
06
Appreciate diverse perspectives
07
Take action based on their learning
The PYP helps students develop the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to become lifelong learners and responsible global citizens.

Building Capacity for Excellence
IB Candidate School Statement
LGS JTI Junior Girls is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy; a commitment to high-quality, challenging and internationally minded education that we believe is important for our students.
Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status does not guarantee that authorization will be granted.
